Hi abhi,

First you have to install LAMP on windows, after that just you have to download drupal from drupal.org or drupalmdoules.com. After that unzip that zip file into ur www folder, then goto /sites/default/files/ and copy the default.settings file and paste thereonly and rename it with settings.php.

After that create a database in mysql, then goto browser type http://localhost/drupalname/ thats all.

Checkout this http://drupal.org/videocasts/installing-6 and http://drupal.org/getting-started/install threads
And if you search in drupal.org then you will get very valuable suggetions.
