installation problem
hi
I am new drupal user
I am trying to install drupal 6 using Xampp 1.7.2 on localhost
After running install script , installation haults at install site No further link is working
Can anybody plz tell me what might be wrong?

installation problem

I am new to Drupal, when I am try to install It shows the following erro mesage, anyone knows please solve my problem
The Error is :
Failed to connect to your MySQL database server. MySQL reports the following message: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061).
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct database hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

Create database before establish connection...

Your MYSQL database server is not connecting properly. Before establishing the connection you have to create database. make sure that the database name and other information provided by you are absolutely correct / error free.

I think you are facing version compatible problem. Just check your php, mysql version and check if it is supported by Drupal 6 or not.

use easyphp 5.2.10
I had the same problem...it is to do with the latest version of php for all those errors. you need an earlier version of php to get rid of the errors. an early version will ease out your problems.
